<lj:music>Charles Mingus : Theme For Lester Young</lj:music>

i thought a lot about family, old and new, this evening. actually, these thoughts have been surfacing all week. they seemed to come to a head tonight, for whatever reasons. i still find myself in awe of how time can change so much around it, yet it never changes itself. a second is always a second, is always a second, and so on. the luster is always there.

i guess that this is about that time of year most people reflect on their past and it seems i'm in the depths of that right now. it seems little pieces of my past keep sneaking up and frightening me. without the past there'd be no future and the future has me little frightened, mostly the fear of the unknown. i'm excited to see what happens when the two finally meet.

anyhow, i wanted to wish you all a wonderful "Holiday Season™" and i hope the coming year brings you lots of good stuff.

everything is free :)
